Books I got this week

I actually got this last Saturday, but didn’t have time to post a weekly roundup, which is fine, because there was basically nothing to report yet.

What have I been up to?

The past month has been stupid. Every time I think I have a minute it escapes me. Rose has been really clingy. At first I thought it was separation anxiety starting, which was scary because it was showing up three months early from what other moms have told me. She was napping 23-29 minutes at a time and half of that had to be in my arms. It didn’t matter how sleepy she got, if I didn’t hold her, she didn’t fall asleep. She is sleeping through the night in her crib just fine, but her naps are all in my arms or her swing. I hate her sleeping in her swing, but if it works, it works. *sigh* It turned out to be teething. She had a white spot on her gums and then last week it started to look swollen. This is actually being posted late today because I kept trying to work on it yesterday and couldn’t get it done. Yesterday was bad. Sometime between bedtime on Friday night and lunchtime yesterday, her first tooth broke through! She was gnawing on my knuckle and it kind of hurt so I took a look and there it was. I had just checked the swelling Friday night and there was no tooth but it was really red, so this was new. But obviously, that caused a lot of pain yesterday. So, we have a bottom left front incisor! So exciting. My little girl is getting so big. She’s nearly at 20lbs and now a tooth! She turns 7 months in five days and is about a week away from moving up to her 6-9 month clothes.

Other than that, I’ve been in a bit of a blogging funk. Partly because I don’t have the time, but also because I can’t think of posts to post. I thought of making up a few discussion posts and just couldn’t think of topics. I’m hoping that this tooth having poked will make things calm down a bit for a few days so I can start typing out my backlog of reviews. I think I have like 15 that need written/posted and then I am half through a Netgalley review copy. I need to finish that so I can get that one written as well. I feel like I have a lot to do, but everything either takes too much time that I don’t have and what I could do quickly, I don’t have the ideas for.
